Hot Water System FAQ:


I just built a new house and moved into it less then a year ago. Water had been great for the first 8 months, however all of a sudden with in a day or two, my hot water has a different smell and serious rusty water that stains everything. I also have a Water Boss water softener and a whole house filter. Once the problem began, I flushed out the water heater and this seemed to work for approx. 3 weeks. I am now experiencing the same problem and even flushed out the water heater again, but this time I have not seen a difference.

Anyone with information would greatly appreciate it.

(Note: All copper pipe and all water system was installed by licensed plumber)
I also have well water if that makes a difference!

I have been scouring the net to find details or plans for building and installing my own home Solar hot water heating system. All I seem to come across is adverts and links asking for me to send money for plans. Can anyone suggest a site where I can find comprehensive and detailed plans/requirements and information on one of these systems. I actually dont mind paying….Just dont want to be scammed…

Any feedback or advice appreciated.
