Hot Water System FAQ:

I have a room that the pipes will not hold air-when tested, probable leak. This room was disconnected from rest of pipes. When I flush system for other 3 rooms, can always hear air and see air, water will not stay hot!!! Help, isn’t there a pressurized way they or someone can balst it out?? Second year here, I am so discouraged. I paid $600 to plumber, think he took advantage of me…it won’t stay warm, thanks.

Hot Water System FAQ:

I have hot water baseboard type heating in my home. I believe this is also known as Fin Type Heating. Normally when hot water enters the pipe you will ear a faint ticking as the metal expands. Recently in one room of my home (my bedroom of all places) the faint ticking has turned into a amplified snapping/ticking that is so loud I can hear it at the opposite end of my home… not to mention scaring me wide awake in the middle of the night.

What would cause this to start happening out of the blue like this when it hasn’t happened before?

Thanks

Why is our back valve in water line leading to Weil-McLain boiler leaking?

Hot Water System FAQ:

It is a forced hot water baseboard propane system. It is presently off. This is a valve needed to add water to the system as needed and it has a small drip at the back valve. When it was running in the zone for the upstairs, you could hear the water running in the lines, so is the water is not replenishing the furnace? Is the valve blocked? We just changed our water line pipes at pump where the water comes into the house. There was a leak near the pipes coming from our holding tank. They were full of a rusty substance, so we took out all that was not copper and replaced it. Now we have awesome water preasure.
