Hot Water System FAQ:

I have a room that the pipes will not hold air-when tested, probable leak. This room was disconnected from rest of pipes. When I flush system for other 3 rooms, can always hear air and see air, water will not stay hot!!! Help, isn’t there a pressurized way they or someone can balst it out?? Second year here, I am so discouraged. I paid $600 to plumber, think he took advantage of me…it won’t stay warm, thanks.

Removing radiators and boiler - What do I need to know?

Hot Water System FAQ:

I am replacing all the radiators and boiler in the house, and I am buying all of the materials myself over the internet. I got a quote from local plummer for installation and removal of the boiler & radiators - the sum is way over my budget!
To reduce the cost I want to remove everything myself, so the plumber would only have to install stuff. What do i need to know & to do when removing old radiators and the boiler - do I have to bleed the radiators first? I probably need to get read of all the water in the system, because I also need to remove the hot water tank (instaling a combi-boiler).
Thanks for your help!
