I need a plumbing diagram for a solar hot water heater with a heat exchanger( seperate and not in a tank ),circulating pump,and a heater,in a closed loop system,along with a tempiture control for the pump.

I have small black particles that are mixed into my water. It appears to only come from the hot water side and not the cold. Whatever this is, it seems to stain my bathtub quite easily. It will create a thin black ring around the edge of my tub when filled. I have also noticed, if I ever leave a cup facing up in the dishwasher, that the dishwasher water also has these particles. Does this sound like a hot water heater that is about to die, or do I need to just flush the system? Any help would be appreciated.

Our plumbing system is mostly copper however there are some galvanized sections. Also, hot water heater was replaced about a year ago.
