Hot Water System FAQ:


Hot water is leaking from the faucet even while the hot water knob is turned all the way off. It is an older system separate knobs for hot and cold water with the diverter in the middle that goes from left to right for tub to shower. I am assuming it may just be something like the washer or something similar needs replacing but where it is not dripping from the knob itself but the faucet I wanted to ask.

I have installed a new handle on my shower at home. However, when I turn the handle to the left - the water is cold. When I turn the handle to the right - the water is hot. I have a Moen shower system. Can anyone help me so that the hot water is activated by turning to the left and the cold water is activated by turning to the right?

I have a 2 family house which was vandalized and all water pipes and heating pipes and radiators were stolen. Steam boilers are still in place. My question is should I use steam based boilers and replace all the cast iron radiators ( total 16) or should I install a new hot water based system utilizing baseboards to heat the house? Also, the house has 4 bathrooms and 2 kitchens which needs hot water and cold water connections. How much is the reasonable cost to install heating system and water supplies lines?
